Rules

This competition is BJCP / AHA sanctioned and open to any amateur homebrewer age 21 or older.

All mailed entries must received at the mailing location by the entry deadline - please allow for shipping time.

Entries must be in 10 to 16 ounce glass bottles, and clean of any labels (inked, paper, or otherwise). Swing-cap bottles will not be accepted.  For styles which benefit from the use of Belgian style bottles, they will be accepted for those styles. Entrants are encouraged to use brown, long-neck bottles for maximum protection from light and breakage.  Logos on caps must be blacked out using a black permanent marker.

Entrants must submit 3 bottles of the same beer per entry (2 bottles will be accepted for Belgian style "bombers").

The theme for this year will be "food" and entries must emulate a food (i.e. banana nut bread, pizza, fruit salad (IPA), blueberry bread pudding, pretzel beer, etc.).  The use of weird, strange, and out of the box spices and herbs are STRONGLY encouraged!  The food emulated must be named in the entry name or placed into "special ingredients" for those respective styles.

While, technicially, a Specialty category only competition, we ask entrants put their beers into their respective base style for flighting purposes and to not wreck our judges palate.
 
Brewers are not limited to one entry in each category for the underlying base beer style, but may only enter each underlying base beer subcategory once. For example, participants may enter an underlying Belgian Pale (16B) and underlying Belgian Saison (16C), but may not enter two Saisons, even if they are different brews.

The competition committee reserves the right to combine underlying style categories based on number of entries. All possible effort will be made to combine similar styles. All brews in combined categories will be judged according to the underlying style stated.
